Florida Day 1

Sunday was our first full day in Florida and we decided to spend the day at Downtown Disney, which was right down the street from where we were staying.

We had lunch at T-Rex Cafe, a new restaurant that had been open just 2 weeks.

If you've ever been to Rainforest Cafe, it's similar to that, except that it's dinosaur themed. There was an aquatic area where the bar was, an ice age type room, and the room we were in which was full of animatronic dinosaurs. Every 10 minutes the lights would dim and there would be a meteor shower, which also made the ice age room switch colors.

The kids liked all the dinosaurs.
My amazing sandwich. Was fried pizza dough filled with chicken, hot pepper cheese, avocado, bacon, tomato, and some kind of sauce.
Good picture of my dad and me together, which we haven't had taken in quite some time.

Downtown Disney has some neat things to take pictures of that correlate with the theme of the shops. Jordis' favorite store was World of Disney and Xander didn't have much interest in the Lego store but he loved all the Lego-built items on display.

Designing our own Mr. Potato Head

One of Xander's best pictures the whole trip.

Had to ride the caboose.

Silliness

Ladylike even in her sleep. This was the first of many days that the kids fell asleep in their strollers somewhere.

That pic of Jordis sleeping in the stroller is so adorable. I can't wait to see more vacay pics . . . I love them! That reminds me, I think I have two more days of Mexico to blog about. Have mercy!

When we were there last month, we didn't get to eat at the restaurant.... the wait was WAY too long!!! I'm bummed - the food looked GREAT!

Ahhhh I wish I would have known you were going... I can't find the monorail they sell at downtown disney anywhere now! Santa is on a mad search :)
